congressman jesse jackson jr. he's been out of sight for months, undergoing treatment for bipolar disorder. and now there are revelations of another fight for the congressman, who is battling ethics violations by the federal government. pierre thomas has the latest from washington. good morning, pierre. >> reporter: good morning, elizabeth. congressman jesse jackson jr. has been fighting to regain his mental health and return to public life. but this morning, he appears to be in a fight to stay out of jail. the son of civil rights icon jesse jackson was easily re-elected tuesday, with more than 60% of the vote. even though he dropped off the political scene months ago, to deal with bipolar depression. >> we're learning that congressman jesse jackson jr. of illinois has been re-elected. >> reporter: but jackson is also the subject of multiple fbi investigations, involving allegations of misuse of campaign funds and influence peddling. sources familiar with the probe say he's now negotiating a possible guilty plea.
